2008 DIX 61 from IBC Shipyards ~ Dudley Dix Design... One of a kind from a prestigious American designer and a renowned Turkish Shipyard. Naval Architect Dudley Dix from Virginia in the United States was the designer of FLEUR and she was constructed at the IBC Shipyard in Bodrum Turkey to extremely high standards. This is the only Cutter Rigged sailing yacht ever produced to a Dix design. She sails well and momentarily achieved a speed of 14.7 knots under Genoa alone during a passage from the Canary Islands to St Lucia in August of 2008. SY Fleur is outfitted with twin Yanmar 75hp marine diesel engines and has dual props and shaft running gear. This is truly a unique yacht and with twin engines and bow thruster she is truly a breeze to maneuver. Incidentally, this extraordinary yacht meets all of the USA standards and criteria for chartering so if you are thinking along those lines she is ready, willing and able!
