Santiago or actually 'Santiago de los Caballeros' is a city that you really
don't want to miss! Shown here in this photo is the 'Monument to the Heros'
and it sits at the highest point in the city. From here you have exquisite
views of the Cibao valley and the city itself. The monument site was remodelled
in 1991 to include a mirador. This structure was actually built in 1940
to honor the heroes who fought for the Dominican Republic. And this is
