Presenting... "Pinocchio"

1978 Trismus 33' Aluminum Sloop
Not quite completed...
Now Only $29,900 US
REDUCED to FIRST $20,000.00 US

There is not a whole lot that I can tell you about this particular yacht. The owner tells me that the Trismus is a well known make of yacht in France and during my research I have not been able to confirm nor deny that statement. However, on close personal inspection I find the hull to be extremely well constructed and the material used was AG-4 aluminum throughout. The welds are of very good quality and I was unable to locate any signs of deterioration anywhere. She is equipped with a Volvo MD-7B diesel engine which is missing a starter. The owner tells me that the engine is original and he starts it on ocassion by hand cranking. This might be a good thing to keep in mind if ever in a position where you need to start her engine and your starting batteries are dead.

Her owner is a yacht carpenter and the work that he has done to date is of very good quality. This yacht would be a very good "do it yourself" project for a capable boat carpenter or I might assume that her present owner could be employed to complete her to your ideas. She has real nice lines and appears to be very solidly built using, as I mentioned above, the best quality aluminum. I expect that this yacht has a good many years left in her life. In the photos you will notice that the portholes are blocked off with storm shields. The owner has the ports and will install them prior to any sale. The ports are new.

The rigging was all changed to NEW less than five years ago and the owner reports that the sails are in great condition as well. There is a roller furling system for the jib and steering is by tiller. Pinocchio is at anchor here in Luperon Bay which is one of the most secure harbours anywhere in the Caribbean. Absolutely great hurricane protection! Very reasonable cost to keep her here and do any type of work. Lots of expertise in the harbour as well as ashore.

Great opportunity for a handy captain at the right time and in the right location! This Trismus aluminum sloop is anchored here in Luperon Bay just waiting for the right captain to come along and finish her to his desires. Ready at your convenience for your inspection. Luperon in the Dominican Republic is very close to where you are! Contact me with any questions...
